Establish and uphold high standards for the work practices, products, and services provided by our registered members.
Each Roofers Association member receives a unique membership number and dedicated profile page. These details are listed in our official online member directory at www.roofersassociation.co.uk, updated regularly to maintain accuracy and transparency.
Members are expected to provide up-to-date contact details and respond promptly to inquiries from clients and the Association.
Members must supply clear and sufficient information at the start of any project. This includes total pricing, itemised costs, relevant specifications, and alternative options when appropriate.
Unsolicited visits to private residences by members are not permitted under any circumstances.
Quotations for the general public must be written in plain, understandable language, avoiding unnecessary technical jargon.
Once a written quotation or estimate is agreed upon by both parties, this constitutes a binding contract and must be confirmed in writing.
In cases of urgent or undefined works, members may propose a day-rate or cost-plus arrangement. If agreed by the client, the rates for labour, materials, transport, and any minimum charges must be clearly communicated in advance. Time or day work sheets should be provided upon request.
All estimates or quotations must include a clause confirming that clients are responsible for enabling a safe working environment in accordance with current Health and Safety Regulations. This must be explained clearly to general clients, and appropriate allowances should be included in the quote.
If additional work is requested or required during the course of a project that was not included in the original quote, a revised quotation must be submitted and approved by the client before any such work begins.
All members are required to provide customers with a 14-day cooling-off notice before work commences. Work may only begin within this period if the client signs a waiver.
Members are expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all information obtained through client relationships and professional engagements.
Craftsmanship that speaks for itself, trusted by homeowners and businesses alike.
